yeah okay HI.

S'been a while, huh?

FIRST MATTER OF BUSINESS, no I will not be back soon (iffin any of you do care) for the rest of this month I will be desperately trying to finish all my finals by my brithday aka the end of the school year.  I'm also pretty much done with deviantart altogether.  NOW that DOES NOT mean I will be closing down this account, no not in the least bit.  However, it will continue to be SEVERELY neglected as I have other sites where I have more friends, attention, and interest.  SAD BUT TRUE FOLKS, to keep me in a site I want people interaction (something sorely missing here), a good amount of attention given to my works (HA call me egotistical but I'm not putting it up to be ignored), and SOMETHING that interests ME (while I do have artists that I still follow because of their drop dead gorgeous works that I cannot always see on my other sites, there's really nothing here for me to keep my interest).  Now I hear you asking, 'But Mel, what ARE you going to do with this account then?'  WELL I'M GLAD YOU ASKED.  I WILL continue to post works (though at a very SLOW pace) most of the artist descriptions will be copied from other sites that I have and so on.  I may or may not comment back to any comments on the artwork (I will still try but I mean, there's only so many things I can say to AWESOME PICTURE y'know?).  Journals will be near non existent (I don't like sharing things here and I don't like writing about myself over and over in the journals).  But I might throw a journal up every once in a while for shits and giggles. KEEPIN YA ON YER TOES.

I think what bothers me most about this account is that my fanart of Gregor the Overlander scenes and fun are STILL the constant for the attention I get on deviantart.  Those were drawn SEVEN YEARS AGO.  And while I don't deny they have charm and will not berate anyone for liking my older style.  I DO NOT CARE FOR IT ANYMORE.  It's fairly heartbreaking to see that the ONLY account activity I get is on some stupid halfassed fanart drawings I did back in freshmen year of highschool.  (but then I suppose it's my fault for not posting more, being more active and therefor more visible to the populous of devart and then maybe get a name for myself in the style that I have now).  BUT IN MY DEFENSE COLLEGE ART TAKES PRESIDENCE OVER PERSONAL ART MAKING.

Now I have some very loyal and sweet watchers here and I want to thank you all for the years that I was here and you gave me words of encouragement and praise.  I also want to apologize for slowly but steadily abandoning you for other sites that better suit my personality and desires.

FFFFFFFFF SERIOUSLY.
I don't dare thank anyone for the favs because I do it in clearout style, where I've got more than like 20 (and with the recent supernatural art OTL more than that) BUT it assumes after like... 9 or so (sometimes more if I'm lucky) that I am spamming ppl.  Now this may be because I copy paste the 'thanks so much for the fav!' message but still :c I don't wanna seem ungracious, or like some stuck up person that is used to favs or anything.  But... I just wanna give up when it comes to the stupid spam block.  It goes away in a half hour or so (lol idk on exact time) but still.  Waiting half an hour to thank ten ppl and then having to wait half an hour again? Or spacing out comments for every few minutes... just seems crazy.

in other news, classes are trudging along.  family is being stupid. and falling asleep anywhere and everywhere has commenced OTL. But oddly enough the warmer temperatures (like... 40-60 degrees rather than 20-30) has been putting me in better moods, along with more sunlight time (I hate it when it gets dark at like three in the winter ;n; lol)

FINALLY got a damn bottle to look right in Lightwave3D's modeler >:E doesn't help that my friend who sits next to me is about, 5 lightyears ahead of me in the process OTL but better late than never!

Got a good male face down in sculpting and starting on a lady face :> and I have officially made the eyeballs to put into the heads (lol this sounds so weird, talking about making human figurine like things out of sculpey FYI) FFF we have a sketchbook assignment in that class tho, Nancy (the teach) is requiring us to draw a torso and ... something else that I forget, and an eye (gonna do two cause one floating eye lol CREEPY) but she was all, I want you do draw a VERY realistic eye BEFORE you try to put in and sculpt the eye on the head. Which IN HONESTY a good idea, refresh what you know blahblah BUT there's a part of me that's all, "Nancy it's been a year and a half since I had a class with you last and I'm VERY good at drawing ppl and faces and REALLY?"  idk lol.  Just a little bit of indignation, which I shouldn't have but AH WELL.

In interactive design the teach is actually covering the basics of flash in a way that MAKES SENSE.  You'd think after a semester of animation that flash would make sense right?  That the kendall professor had, oh I don't know, informed us in a way that had us know what we were doing. LOL you'd think.  This guy though seems FANTASTIC and helpful and kind and it ROCKS.  so ... idk expect stupid animations mebe.

Mythology is ballin, the teacher is hilarious, and ROFL ancient ppl thought their gods made kids and stuff by masturbating Egyptians man, lmao (Mesopotamians too but still ROFL)

history is history fff paper due two weeks :<
